The Nelson Tasman Pasifika Community Trust is the result of 20 years of community representation. We have worked with government organisations and service providers to ensure the Nelson Pasifika Community is represented, and advocated for both regionally and nationally. Throughout all the years the Trust has been working in a voluntary capacity but in 2015, with significant support from some key players we became a service provider!

Our community consists of approximately 1,500 people, mostly living in and around
the urban areas of Nelson and Richmond. Originally from the islands of the Pacific including: Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, the Cook Islands, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, the Solomons and Hawaii. This group of people have been migrating to New Zealand, leaving their villages and large family groups, to create a better life for themselves and their families.

To provide, support and strengthen the Nelson Tasman Pasifika Community to grow, achieve and prosper.

A strong united organisation which will represent the needs and goals of our Pasifika Community working in response to and alongside the community, advocating for community and culture.
